New investigations , including DNA testing, have been ordered by the investigating judge of Naples, Federica Colucci, as part of the search for Angela Celentano , the 3-year-old girl who disappeared on 10 August 1996 on Monte Faito , when she disappeared during a trip with her family.

The lawyers Luigi Ferrandino and Enrica Visconti, lawyers for the Celentano family, requested the DNA test, as part of what is known as the “ Turkish lead ”. The judge also asked that the alleged Turkish witnesses be heard, in particular a lawyer, to identify the girl portrayed in a photo taken from a video filed by the blogger Vincenza Trentinella and which, according to the Carabinieri ROS, would be similar to the reconstruction of Angela's face.

An unexpected turn of events: the Naples Prosecutor's Office had asked for the case to be closed due to lack of evidence , repeatedly urging the Turkish authorities to collaborate, but without receiving any answers.

The “Turkish lead” was born from the complaint of an Italian blogger, Vincenza Trentinella, who indicated the Turkish islet of Buyukada as the place where Angela Celentano, who would be 32 years old today, was. Trentinella reported having acquired information from a priest who later died, Don Augusto, who told her that he had learned from a believer that Angela Celentano was in Turkey, on the islet of Buyukada, where the little girl lived in the company of a man she believed to be her father .

“That man exists, I met him on a pretext, he has a scar on his neck . And Angela lives with him,” Trentinella said at the time, having also visited the island with one of the Celentano family’s lawyers.

The Naples Public Prosecutor's Office had however requested that the case be closed, with investigating judge Colucci instead deeming further investigations necessary to dispel any doubts about the real identity of the girl indicated by Trentinella.

As reported by Ansa, the judicial authority has requested the acquisition of the photo of one of the people with whom the blogger allegedly came into contact on the island of Buyukada, an act aimed at identifying that person; another request was to hear a pharmacist so that the identity of another man can be clarified, with particular reference to a scar indicated by the blogger.

The Carabinieri Ros instead heard a lawyer, registered with the Istanbul-Buyukada Order, with whom a lawyer of the Celentano family and the blogger came into contact during a mission on the islet. The judge asks that this lawyer be heard again so that he can provide all the elements in his possession for the identification of the girl portrayed in the photo taken from a video filed by the blogger.
